In the Huna healing system, water was a carrier of mana -- the life force. In fact water, according to Max Freedom Long
and Serge Kahili King, is a symbol for mana in the huna philosophy. In Huna, fresh water is not merely a physical
life-giving element; it also had a spiritual quality. The phrase "Water of Life of Kane" is frequently repeated
in prayers of thanks and invocations used in offering fruits of the land, in prayers chanted while planting, and
in prayers for rain. Moreover, all four of the major gods are included in prayers that speak of the "water of life."
Freshwater is also used in purification rituals for people, and for such places as a heiau (place of worship) or
family altar.
The symbolic act of being purified with water predates by many centuries the baptisms used for
cleansing people from sin. Whereas baptism by immersion was a symbolic use of water, baptism by sprinkling
"holy water" on a baby's forehead utilized the principle of charging water through prayer before using it as a
healing substance.
As a result of such traditions, water still plays an important role in Hawaiian healing rituals and marriage
ceremonies. The water is first blessed with prayer in order to give it a charge of energy, or mana, and then
sprinkled or poured over the person or the ground. At times, it is flicked onto a patient with the tip
of a ti leaf while a healing prayer is recited out loud.
HAWAIIAN HOLY WATER
Spring water from deep in the mountains of Kauai, Kauai rain water and Pacific Ocean water
are combined in an ancient Hawaiian method. Under a full moon, the water is blended in the center of a reactivated
Hawaiian energy vortex, which is lined in copper, crystal and magnetic charged grids, per specifically
channeled instructions.
The water is poured into an open magnetized container, surrounded by quartz crystals. Selenite wands
are suspended in the water during the session to bring in energies transmitting the message that there
is a new way into the water. Smoky quartz essences and Willard Water are then added to stabilize and energize.
The container is rapidly spun and maintained in motion for two hours, creating powerful vortex energies
and facilitating a powerful magnetic force between the magnetized circle, the magnetized container and the
earth and moon. The process is then culminated by the birthing of consciousness into the water. Consciousness
is the presence of the holy spirit. The water's consciousness is able to work uniquely with every person to
restore the wholeness and fullness of life. It has been called the Mahatma Vita.
WATERFALL ESSENCE
Flying through the air in effortless freedom, changing form in the moment, and traveling at exciting speed.
That is the state of water as it drops from the heights, and it is the state of each person as we transmute from
one moment to the next, never the same, as this planet earth flies through space. Take this essence to burst
through the dammed-up energy created by our denial of constant change. Release the fear and experience its
other side, the exhilaration and joy of moving through a life. When emotional energy is dammed-up,
it eventually must break free. Taking this essence may allow the tears to fall, and a flushing of old
energy constrictions can occur.
RIVER ESSENCE
Water in a river always moves. It will gently and powerfully erode the banks of anything that tries to stop
the flow. Movement like a snake is the way to traverse the obstacles and blocks that we meet on our path through our
life. The river knows how to gracefully and powerfully proceed from its source toward its ultimate goal,
the vast ocean. Take this essence when you need to move out of stagnant energy patterns or depression.
It may take longer than the waterfall essence to make the changes needed, but it will ultimately cause
the desired movement.
CLOUDS ESSENCE
Water and vapor are formed and moved by pressures and wind. The movement of water through evaporation and
reformation into changing masses of water and vapor is ultimately completed by the complete release back
into the earth and sea. Take this essence to enhance the reformation of old ideas into new and
"out of the box" thinking.
