Call for Articles for Future Editions of Vibration Magazine
By Vibration Editors Donna Cunningham, MSW and Deborah Bier, PhD
We, your fearless editors, have four themes for future Vibration Magazine editions in mind. We would welcome your submissions toward any or all of these themes. Whether you are an essence newbie or a seasoned professional, we are looking for your articles! See our writers' guidelines here, and don't be shy about sending us a query about an article you might have in mind. Email the editors here (please reply to the SpamArrest confirmation email or it may not reach us)..
We don't PROMISE to actually use EXACTLY these very themes. Noooooo. That would be MUCH too easy. Instead, we leave ourselves open to changes from guidance as we work with each issue, and also in response to the pieces that actually come in to us. And world events as they unfold will move us to decide when these themes' issues will be published, and in which order. So please consider the following as coming from the (somewhat limited) view we have from here at this time... subject to change, of course!
(Don't forget we also publish non-themed editions, so don't hesitate if your idea or article doesn't fit in with one of the below.)
Essences for Deep Healing
How are essences helping to heal our deepest wounds and traumas? Not the ones that occur in the day-to-day world, but those we carry on the deepest soul level? Are you using essences in such ways that they facilitate the breaking of karmic patterns, spiritual regeneration, surging of life purpose, or to help support or stimulate some other similar personal, group, or planetary sea change? Email the editors here.
Essence Cases
We want your cases -- autobiographical or from your clients, friends, and family members. What happened when you or someone else took essences? What unfolded? Tell us your story! But please: get permission if you are writing about others, and disguise any identifying information. You may publish under a pseudonym if you are writing about yourself and wish to maintain your privacy. For some examples of
stories we published by other essence users, go here.
Email the editors here.
Essences in the Mainstream
Essences are finding their way into some fascinating mainstream use. Are you as a practitioner or essence maker a part of this? Have you seen mainstream use and discussions of essences that surprised you as a consumer? Please let us know all about it! Email the editors here.
All Business: Helping Essence Professionals' Practices
Tools to help practitioners create and maintain sustainable practices, get their work out to the public, attract and keep clients, and do the "business end" of things in a smooth and steady manner. Both your difficulties AND your solutions welcomed. We want to know what is on our readers' minds -- where are you stuck in your professional practice? What got you unstuck? Are you a business professional who has helped alternative practitioners build their practices and have sound advice to offer? We want to hear from you, particularly if essences have been involved! Email the editors here.
More Bach for Writers
In our last edition, Dr. Bier gave a preview of her article "Reasons Why Writers Don't Write and a Bach Remedy for Each," promising more this time. Below is fulfillment of that promise, each from the Bach remedies. (See here for Olive, Gorse, Heather, Aspen and Pine.)
If I start writing an article about Oak, I'll never have the strength to finish... so I won't even begin.
If I write about Walnut who knows what will happen -- how will I cope with what might change as a result of being published?
Should I write about Scleranthus? Or maybe about that other remedy? Yes, it'll be Scleranthus. No, I'll do that other remedy. Well, maybe Scleranthus... other remedy... Scleranthus...
Oh, help me. The blank page sits before me. Nothing but a blank page yawning unto eternity... blankness and nothingness. I haven't the energy to write about Sweet Chestnut. It overwhelms and despairs me. I cannot go on.
(More in a future issue...)
