Class Description:
The plant kingdom offers powerful healing for those who understand how to tap into its potential. In this 6-lesson course, we will introduce a new way of understanding healing with plants. We'll talk about:
The 5 dimensions of plant healing
Recent research into the health benefits of plants
A multi-faceted view of why we have so much chronic illness
Ways that plants can prevent future disease
You will see how these understandings integrate both physical and non-physical aspects of plant healing, drawing on science, as well as a variety of healing modalities and spiritual traditions from around the world. For both students new to plants and healing, as well as those who have a fair amount of experience in this area. You won't ever look at our green friends the same way again!

SEMINAR 1: Writing Web Page Material
for your Astrological or Metaphysical Practice
How long have you been saying you're going to create a web page -- or update the old one -- you get around to it? Maybe this is the time! Many capable practitioners struggle to build a client base due to lack of experience in the crucial yet easily-neglected area of promoting their work. Donna has 40 years of experience in marketing her books, classes and services and was also a professional web designer. In this 5-session online seminar in chatroom format, she shares her expertise and guides students through the process of creating web site articles and other outreach materials to expand an astrological or metaphysical practice.
Topics include: defining your target audience as well as what is unique about your approach; using the power of intention and other metaphysical tools to enhance your outreach; special considerations in writing for the internet; Identifying blocks to self-promotion; portraying yourself and your work with accuracy and integrity; hype vs. education in your materials; what you need to know about the use of case examples or testimonials; introduction to website traffic builders -- links, search engine submission, keyword selection, blogs, and submission to online article collections. SEMINAR 2: WRITING FOR ASTROLOGICAL
AND METAPHYSICAL MARKETS
This 6-week online seminar begins Saturday, October 4, 2008. In weekly chatroom meetings, Donna guides participants in breaking through writing barriers. Using a metaphysical tools and a series of structured assignments, students create at least one piece. The initial series is limited to eight members, who can range anywhere from beginning writers to New Age or self-help professionals who want to share the knowledge they've gained from many years of practice. Donna and fellow students will critique these assignments for each student.
Topics to be discussed in this seminar include blocks and barriers to writing, fantasies about what writing will do for you, identifying the purpose of your article and the target audience, narrowing a broad subject down to a manageable piece, using the power of intention, crafting a great beginning, researching your topic, and revising to give your writing clarity and impact.
