I began 2007 with a lung virus that many of my local clients carried in and out of my office. Usually I am immune to those pesky germs, but this one got me. Lying in bed for a week gave me the rest that I needed and a big jolt. My lungs were speaking to me through this virus and it wasn't until I began to listen to my body, observe my inner visions, and seek the balm of nature, that I understood the potent message of the virus, and seized an opportunity to heal. The lung meridian, as many of you know, carries the deep seed memories of grief and loss that may be held back from issues of attachment and fixation. The lung meridian is ruled by the element Metal in Chinese medicine, indicating structure and strength. A person with Metal Qi (Chi) imbalance may be grief-stricken, steeped in sadness.

I went to my flower apothecary and intuitively headed for my Purple Crocus essence (available on my web site). The essence in my hand felt warm and tender. I visualized the Purple Crocus, its beauty of purple light emanating through a luminous layering of blossoms that tenderly open to oval cups that drink in the heavens. I could see the quality of the lung held in the signature of the flower, the vessels connecting the tissue of the flower to the stem, and the life force holding ground.

I dropped the essence under my tongue, rubbed a bit over my heart, and went away to rest. I feel into a deep sleep, and awoke suddenly with a vision of my deceased aunt, an important figure in my life, who in many ways was more like a mother to me than an aunt. She was my mother's sister who lived with us in a fatherless home accompanied by my mother's father, papa, my one sister, and my mother. She was my link to security on this earth and, I regret to say, she took her own life when I was 24 years old and pregnant with my first daughter. When I heard the news I was horrified. Determined to keep my grief away from my growing child within, I held back my angst and carried on, giving lectures and classes on Findhorn, astrology, and tarot all the way back to Findhorn, Scotland. What a time!

This vision of my aunt startled me out of my sleep. She took my hands. It was then that I began to sob. I sobbed for three days. Deeply, my tears cleansed and washed away the long held sadness that stored the gravity of grief within my body. Letting go and releasing was the key, and finding a way to free my sorrow became the next step.

Back in the apothecary, I was drawn to Snap Dragon, then to Morning Glory. I could see the blending of the Purple Crocus, the Blue Snap Dragon and the Blue Morning Glory blending their energies together, creating a hue of bluish purple that I wanted to bathe in. I mixed the blend and proceeded to ingest it for five days. My lungs cleared -- mostly, my heart opened to the issues in my life that I needed to let go of. I felt more awake and alive.

I then had a profound dream. An angel came down and gazed at me until I gave her my full attention. She came very close to my face, and gently yet poignantly said, "Isha, one of the things you have not done yet in this life is to choose whether you really want to live or die." She said, "The wheel is turning upward for you, and it is important that you make a decision."

I know it sounds clichéd, but the message to choose life was so strong it jolted me. I was certain that I wanted to live so that I could continue the work that I love and am honored to do on this planet. I was coming to understand the changes needed in order for my transformation to occur. Lying in bed for another few days, taking the Purple Crocus blend and resting, I came to some very deep decisions regarding my own life. Another layer of healing would emerge.

I began to understand the deep sadness held in the earth, and the earth landscape angel appeared to me in another profound dream. She shared, "The earth cleansing is taking place, and the seeds of her grief are sprouting and watering the earth's surface so as to moisten the hardened foundation formed by the many hands of many cultures. The force of change beckons as we cleanse the earth together... the souls of those who wish to listen and live... and fulfill a destiny." Again, I awoke restless.

It is our greatest honor to be alive at this time... once again, the earth surrenders to yet another turn of cycles and evolution. It is not glamorous, nor is it rare -- it happens again and again -- we are here now, however, to witness yet another change.

This is my little story. I want to share this blend with anyone who might be on the same wavelength. You can order it on my website. It is called the Purple Crocus Blend. Other flower essences that have aided my healing are: Sagebrush, Shooting Star, Bleeding Heart, and Baby Blue Eyes. I have amplified this blend with Silversword.
