In creating our gem essences, we were fortunate to have the assistance of Katrina Raphaell, a leading authority on crystals and the author of several books on the subject. To help systematically energize and balance the seven chakras, she assisted Starmen Unlimited in creating a program consisting of seven gem essences, which will be described below. Kahuna David Bray believed that the lower three chakras (Root, Sacral, and Solar Plexus) are used to bring mana, or life force, into the physical body so that the individual can direct it at will. He saw the Heart Chakra as the place where that energy is transformed into the higher frequencies of love. The heart is also considered the spot where the "crusader" transforms into the "warrior." Whereas crusaders attempt to change the world, warriors try to change themselves, and in so doing, effect a change in the world. We suggest that you begin with gem essences that affect the first chakra and continue with those that affect the second through seventh chakras, spending three days with each essence. The recommended dosage is three to four drops by mouth two or three times a day. This program should not only balance the chakras, but also result in a more vital and loving life. A description of the gem essences associated with each chakra and of their effects follows. FIRST CHAKRA (Root): Black tourmaline -- provides psychic protection and grounding for spiritual awareness in the third dimension. Promotes strength. SECOND CHAKRA (Sacral): Carnelian -- activates sexual and procreative energy. Increases vital force and stimulates creativity. THIRD CHAKRA (Solar Plexus): Citrine -- helps manifest personal goals and rebuild self-confidence. Increases alignment of astral bodies. Dissolves feelings of lack. FOURTH CHAKRA (Heart): Green Adventurine and Rose Quartz -- heals on all levels. Soothes conflicts in the emotional body. Eases tension in the solar plexus. Increases the forces of self-love and confidence. Promotes forgiveness and compassion. FIFTH CHAKRA (Throat): Blue Lace Agate -- facilitates clear and truthful verbal expression. Promotes self-empowerment through the voice. SIXTH CHAKRA (Brow): Amethyst -- enhances mental clarity and strengthens the willpower to break self-destructive habits. Calms the mind for meditation.
SEVENTH CHAKRA (Crown): Clear Quartz -- assists communication with spirit guides. Expands self-awareness. Helps transform negative thoughts.
In The Crystalline Transmission, Katrina Raphaell presents advanced information on the twelve chakra system. The information in this book presents even more ways to utilize gem essences. She describes a process whereby individuals ground and integrate their spiritual light bodies into their physical bodies after the chakras are in balance and the energies have been cleared.
